LUNA is the student union for science students in Lund. By Swedish law, if you are a full-time student of science in Lund, you are currently required to be a member of LUNA and a student nation of your choice. This only applies to "free students", though - if you are here on an exchange program, you don't have to be a member of LUNA or a student nation (though you're certainly welcome to!).
Here is a link containing the addresses of all student nations in Lund. (It's in Swedish, but you should be able to understand most of it.)
LUNA's main purpose is to be the science students' voice in discussions with Lund University and the Faculty of Science. We work to improve the quality of your courses and programs, make the teachers better, give you enough computers in the computer rooms and microwave ovens in the lunch rooms, and much more.
If you experience any trouble with your education or anything related to education, please contact us and we will do what we can to help you.
To become a member of LUNA, please visit the student nation of your choice. When you register there and pay your semester fee, you will automatically become a member of LUNA as well. Shortly after you've paid your semester fee, you will get your student card by mail (usually within a week).
